Publication design sits between form and function. Whether it is a book, educational material or technical document, I design layouts that help readers follow the content comfortably. I focus on readability, visual hierarchy and considered typography so that the publications support the text and are straightforward to use.

Pyhä pipari

Pyhä Pipari by Tara Koivukoski, published by Mistake Media, is a recovery book aimed at women who have experienced sexual or domestic violence. I designed the layout and illustration to feel calm and supportive, in line with the book’s aim of offering practical help and strength to readers.

Kohtaaminen

“Kohtaaminen II”, published by Mistake Media, is a continuation of journalist Kaj Kunnas’ interview collection, featuring personal stories from various individuals. I used a restrained layout and a subtle colour palette so that the typography and structure support the interviews without competing with them.

Caprine educational guidelines

This publication, created for the EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquaria) Caprinae TAG (Taxon Advisory Group), serves as a resource for zoos across Europe. I structured the pages to be clear and easy to navigate, with consistent headings, diagrams and typography to support everyday use.
